Heidi Mather, BSc Ac, R.TCM.P, RHN

Registered Acupuncturist, Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalist (TCM) and Nutritionist

Heidi graduated from the University of Portsmouth (UK) in 2010 with a first class BSc Honours degree in Acupuncture. With over 10 years clinical experience working with musculoskeletal pain, she has expanded her practice to include the use of guasha, cupping, moxibustion and electro-acupuncture to enhance her acupuncture treatments. She found that these therapies in combination helped to speed the healing process and support pain relief.

Working with chronic and systemic conditions, she became interested in the role that diet could play as a means to support the therapy at home. Heidi trained as a Nutritional Therapist at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London (UK), and received the award for Clinical Excellence upon graduation in 2014. Her knowledge of nutrition helps her to understand someone's dietary choices, interpret the effect that this may have on their health, and negotiate achievable changes to support their health outcomes.

After moving to Vancouver with her family in 2015, Heidi decided to study Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, and has been awarded her provincial license as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner (TCM.P). This means that she has a dual licence as both an Acupuncturist and as a TCM Herbalist.

"I am in awe of the beauty of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and the potential it offers in customized medicine". Heidi uses high quality concentrated herbal granules to formulate an individualized herbal tea, to be taken daily with hot water.
